Man, stock headers look...

I stopped by C2 Designs to see how the tear down was going and they had the air box, plenums, and headers off. The stock headers for you guys who have never seen them look PUNY and look like something off an old beater...

I'll post pictures tomorrow after I download them of the SD card in the camera I left them. They took the whole exhaust system down too...interesting to see all these parts by themselves.

I thought I was looking at the headers like these:

http://www.kleemann.dk/site/Main/per...oducts/headers

They laid them side by side...I'll post pics tomorrow...

J

If I'm wrong...my bad...you might need to educate me on the correct terminology.

You are correct, the Kleemanns are what they call headers. The car comes stock with manifolds that some might consider a log style header. Then there are some that call a single header, header'S and wouldnt know one if it hit them in the head'S..lol

Lovin my Klee headers. No probs at all.

Guess if I could do it over again I would have gotten the coated ones, for less heat.

Something to think about. Klee has/can get coated ones as so the other guys.

I agree with Jim. I'm on my second set of Kleeman headers and if you're going to make the investment...........get the coated header.

I bet your stoked thats some mod list you have there.A few suggestions for ya.Leave off the sprint booster. You might like the new power the way it is.The SB can make it hard to drive sometimes.Too rapid of an acceleration ramp on the throttle.Try it though, you might like it.I would use the Renntech ELm over the Kleemann.Renntech toe kits not really needed, unless your going to track the car alot, even then most dont run it.You need to bump that additional heat exchanger up on the get it now list.Very important mod to have when making power.Everything else looks great.just my opinion on all of this of course.Cory at Kleemann is top notch, great choice on tuners.

What does that entail? I'll talk to Chris @ C2 tomorrow of getting them done.

I believe after doing a search that jet-hot.com was recommended to ceramic coat inside and out...

Are you guys happy with the results?

What was the final verdict on what happened with the first set?Was it install alignment to be at fault or build problems?

Thanks for the input...they are taking measurements after they get the front bumper off for a larger heat exchanger. I should be getting on board with that modification next month when they build the heat exchanger and do the test fitting.

The heat and humidity this summer in Florida is ridiculous...

You could save yourself alot of time, headaches and money and just get the Evo cooling kit.

Theres not alot of room or places to mount the brackets under there,I just made my own kit last week.

um correct me f i am wrong but, don't the keelmann headers need to be replaced yearly?

i recall reading this in a previous post

also i recall a debate that the evo headers we just as good and cheaper.

Any moders out there care to chip in?

from a looks prospective keelman wins and i am sure they are very good in performance, but liek i said i have red debats so i am not sure

also do headers need an ecu tune?

thanks
