Full Wetterauer package going in / on...

OK maybe tonight Ill get the full ECU Wett package circa 590hp is claimed with stock TB and no airbox.... so it should end up being more... we shall see.

I am geting the higher perssure dump valves fitted too - its a but cloak and dagger getting out from them what these do but I am told it increases boost from 200 to 300 (what ever that means) ... and worth minimum 30hp... those I will have tonight and probably fit them too - ill take some pics as well for you guys. The ECU tune may need to be done later.

So I will have the ASP, VRTB, VRAB, W220 extra cooler (with circuit not split) , Johnson CM90, Wett Dump Valves, *Custom* Wett ECU. They read my ECU data, have a peak and customise their SportII tune to suit my ECU data - hopefully this will have some info with VRTB and VRAB by now.

Once the dump valves and initial tune have been in place for a while then they take the ECU data again and they fine tune it further.. then I should be at around ~600hp crank.

The next step will be to add headers... I would fit Evosport but they dont work on RHD so if anyone has any bright ideas on this front let me know.

Then I think I'll just drive the car... but the Quiafe with 2.82, and brembo gt's would be a fine addtion at some pioint.

Do you have any pics of the cm90 insatle ?
Have you done any data loging with it to see how it fairs to cm30?
thanks and best of luck with the mods

That's a nice list of mods you got there. But if you're gonna do headers, you should do them now so you don't have to get your ECU tuned again after the install. Keep us updated.

The CM90 install took ALLOT of patience. I managed to get it mounted on the stock pump bracket with minimal clearance front and back. If you deciding betwen the CM30 & 90, the 90 is probably an extra 4-5 hours effin about over the 30 once you have the bumper etc off.... you also then have the issue of the pump inlet / ouitlet being larger than the piping - but what I really wanted was to have a pump that could push water when pressure goes up ... this is where I think the bosch falls over - it cannot circulate water when the temps rise and the pressure rises. I wish there was a CM60....

When I had my limiter removed my Scangauge no longer connects and I have no clue where IAT's are ... although have had zero shut down - and never have for that matter ... also I have pump engaging as per ECU and not on acc. for time being as I want to see how it works off the ECU setting first.

When all is installed Ill do some datalogging with the Autoengenuity and see where I am at ...

If you get a chance, can you ask them if we can purchase the Wett Dump Valves and have them installed in the states Steve?

Have you seen them yet? Just wondering if they are in fact the 2 valves to the left and right of the supercharger or do these go in some other area.

Your setup sounds incredible.

Going that way ... will use 18mm mdf gg'd to existing plasterbaords and then add a second layer of 10mm mdf also gg'd. Also adding 15mm of rubber insulation to flooring ... think it should be ok in the end.

Just got some granite slabs for placing under the floor standers and sub - nearly broke my back last night....!!

Waiting for my new centre channel unit and then get the guy to mod the room up - I just done have the time anymore...

Well I got my new valves and will take some pics - really nicely made this is what Wett say ...
"The pressure valves are ready and are getting shipped now.
They bypass the pressure to normal aspirated side.
The boost pressure is increased from 200 to 300 mbar.
That gives more air amount. The increase around 30hp combined with
software."

So from my calcs the extra 100mb of boost gives me an extra 1.4 psi of boost... which sounds about right for an extra 30hp...

As for getting them shipped over to the US ... its possible I guess but I think you would need thier ECU mapping to get the most out of it too...

These are going in tom... will run the car like this get some miles on and get a tune later next week. Then its to the track for proof of the pudding.

Rgds Steve

If you want to know why I am going Wetterauer ... besides that its my buddies UK franchise, for €300 (~$440) you get 3years warranty on the drivetrain .... and all the modifiications are Germany TUV approved.

On an '06 this was the only way I was going to mod this beast to this level.

Thing is the agent downloads your ecu data, sends it to Wetterauer in Germany ... they then review the ECU download and modify it. They do this for every mod they do ... I think its so it cannot be copied form one car to another as each new ecu code is encrypted and will only work on that ecu.

So thats the process the local agent is used to access the code and reload the data back onto the ecu.

Steve, like I said before - there are no dump valves on E55.

There is a single bypass valve between TB intake and intercooler discharge.

I got a feeling you got a Audi/Porsche bypass valves.

Take a pic and post it.

Well the cats out of the bag. I've used Wetterauer for years on my Audi's (S4, RS6) and they know how to tune german machines. Used others (GIAC, etc) and in my experience there's no comparison.

I think Steve is going to like the results. Just my two cents.

My friend has them installed and I have them installed now - and before you ask no I have not given it a blast yet....

From what I can see about the valves is they are actuated by the ECU to release pressure from the inlet manifold to the front portion of the blower... from high pressure relief to n/a pressure - where this goes into the front of the blower I have no idea. This trigger when this pressure is released is increased.

Vadim not sure what you mean by secondary injection - can you explain this? - is it extra boost being pumped / released in or what ???

Its not easy getting out from Wet exactly how they gain 30hp from this but all I know they are damn sensitive about the pressure of each valve they have to be exactly 300mb - and yes I dont know exactly what they do ... but again no one else seems to know how they get 30hp from them either.

Even if they end up doing jack... (which sincerely I doubt) they sure pretty.

Here are the pics...
