Obviously there may be another way to skin a cat.

Curious to see how the 03 version was done.

The 07 version airbag fitted the same way with no problems. It was just the control electronics that gave me trouble which now works fine.

 

So is it easy straight forward or not then, cause am confused now
Also does it come in different colors?

It seems that Jeff has it knocked on the head for the 03 system via a different installation method.

video states '03 but i'm calling bs since that head unit and center console weren't available on '03 e55's. looks more like an '05 or '06.

 

Those pedals didn't come out in an 03 either unless they were added after.

The vehicle is an 05 E55 Wagon, I apologize for the typo on the video title.

 

It works on an '06

 

$2500 seems a bit much. I got the wheel and airbag for $900 brand new.. So i assume the $1600 is for all the modding need to make it work in an 03'?

Im still not seeing how this is done.A few from this forum have tried it with no luck,the paddles and buttons did not function properly or at all for that matter?

 

That would be 03 and 04 models which are slightly retarded in respect to electronics.

I suppose the question is can 110 convert to the older system on the 03 and 04's?

 

What are you not understanding ?? Photos were posted of the install, a video and the difference between doing this to an older vs a new car have also been discussed. Newer cars simply use the same airbag. For an older car you have to get a new airbag - seems simple to me as I watched them do it. I can vouch for 110 Motoring, they do excellent work and their attention to detail is top notch. The guys there are very helpful and knowledgable and no bull*****.

 

i think you're not understanding that many of us still need to know if this works for '03 and '04 models since no one has done it easily...apparently not even 110.
