Are you looking to buy or have it replaced?

Power will be the same. Some have had the newer clutch pack installed and the rough engagement came back after time, mine included.I dont mind the harsh engagement,it ensures me the clutch it locked up good.

I am honestly in shock of how helpful everyone on this board is. I was going to have my clutch pack replaced hopefully under warantee if it would make a performance difference, but the rough engangment/chirp doesnt bother me. Thanks again for the help.

If you have a warranty and can get it done without any hassles, then thats not too bad.Or maybe wait till your towards the end of your warranty and have it done then? Mine was changed but the harshness came back anyway.

I have a decent amount of time/miles left on my warrantee and i should be able to get it changed even though my dealership tends to have horrible customer service. I was just checking out the forums though and E55 killers dyno numbers were low, and someone told him to change his clutch pack because that helped AMG_Riders and sleeperxs cars. Id rather not have to deal with the customer service at my dealership, but if it means im going to lose power from the K2 package then ill do it.

Do it while you can, because lets face it, there is a reason they brought it out.

what dealership are you using, if you're not to far from philly I can set it up for you at mine, I just had mine replaced under warrenty, I'm friends with a tech up there, I'll call him before you go up there and he will check yours and make sure he hears the noise

You are a fellow 03'r like me which means your warranty has to be up or coming up to expire.

Clutch packs run bout a grand out of warranty. If they will replace it...DO IT!!! May not be worth going to war with them over though.

Had just a few go bad on the forum over the years. Gonna ask my guy to replace mine before she goes out of warranty in a month or so.

Just my 2cents. Any new parts you can get before she runs out...GET UM!!

Suprisingly my dealership basically told me to go screw myself when i asked about the 06 clutch pack. Im calling other dealerships in the area, but i might have to either not do it or take you up on your philly offer.
