+1, mike, maybe you should re-post the pictures of your ic upgrade.

+1

Cant blame te ASP for that. We want max boost, right?...

you will not be making optimal power...

and if you want to take on a real challenge.. say E60 M5 don't try multiple pulls.. you will start loosing ground fast.

that is one reason.. I took it easy when I was on my OEM pump.. I could feel loosing power during hot days.

IC pump helped..

IC HE is even better.

for IC HE and pump you are talking around $1k with install at this point. Prices are coming down.

ok as the topic is moving from pulles to cooling...
from what i have seen there seems to be three types of HE custome designs out there.

now which of these designs is better for hot coutries...
and compatible with an 06

Are they now that inexpensive?? I'd do it (even though my cooling is fine) just to know it is running at peak in the summer.

Kleemann pulley has been no problem in my '06. 6K+ miles and zero belt problems. It also is an add on to the stock pulley although Kleemann pins rather than welds the outer ring on. Not cheap, but very good workmanship.

Mine looked like that and I thought its because they had to shave some areas for the balancing??

Anyone??

The one you got from me was pretty much the same looking as the first one they sent me. Welds sure are ugly eh? That's what I thought too. Most likely it goes from a welder to a balancer and he shaves off parts for balance. Maybe same guy...who knows.

Lotta guys using um (RFLOW etc) and no problems (cept me of course).

Yeah, I knew the ASP will never be voted the most beautifully made pulley, but I had no idea that it looked....

No biggy. As long has it does its job and dont fall apart, I'm happy.

Thread Revive!

After reading lots of threads, I pulled the trigger..No one wants to buy my E55 so....
I just placed an order for the ASP Pulleys from K1 Motorsports...
I will let everyone know how it feels once I have it installed!

Since this thread talks about quality, I'll prob take some pictures and post it here when I get it so you can all look at it..

I received my ASP pulley about 1 week ago and will finally be installing my Pulley + Johnson pump tomorrow.

The build quality of the pulley looks fine to me although I haven't had the opportunity to investigate any other pulley's first hand.

I was quoted 1-1.5 hrs to install pulley plus pump which shouldn't be that big of an issue.
$85.00 per hour. I should be out the door for no more than $150.

Butt Dyno report to follow.

Hey mikey...where do you get your work done? I live in the Phoenix area and have been considering some type of work...thanks!

there's no dealer i'd recommend anymore in the phoenix area. i can only say from 1st hand experience as well as several friends with first hand experience (and i can't emphasize enough) to stay as far away from chandler mb as possible!!!!!!!!!! schumacher used to be the place to go until their service manager left...they're still okay but they won't go that extra mile for their customers. i've only heard bad things about phoenix motors so i haven't even given them a shot.

for any custom work you want done go see chris at floored fabrication in mesa.
