Terry's car does not have Down Pipes or exhaust. The only mods that he claims to have is the JBS2 (race gas), DR (Kosei K1 rims w/ 245/45/17 Nitto 555R tires) and a K&N.

$350 + a K&N and some DR is pretty cheap to be running with (beating) a stock e55 in the 1/4 (the same day).

Terry's car ran 109 and change. The car with the exhaust and down pipes ran 112.

Yeah, the chipped 335 is pretty quick. If I ever respond a tad slow(like the 2nd run), it wont be til up to the three digits I can start reeling him in. So I DO believe when people say V2 can beat a stock E55. You snooze, you lose.
BTW, all of runs I was in S mode and manually downshifted to 2nd gear. If I just let the car downshift itself(massive delay!), I wouldn't be able to catch up til up to 130mph. Be in the correct gear is important.

very nice run.

The Vishnu 1.47 is putting down around 330RWHP and about 370RWTQ on average.

you have 20" wheels which is slowing your car a bit.

Change your IC pump and your pulley at the same time. Don't install the pulley alone... search for the Johnson Pump CM30.. its around $100 +/-.
Yeah, the 1.47 tune. He will be installing the V2 before Dec, then we are going to get our cars dynoed. I will have the ASP installed then.

Johnson Pump. Got that covered. Along with the 3gl reservor for the trunk
I am now just waiting for the CODE3 Heat Exchanger to be released to the public.

We will have another run after the upgrades. Videos will then be released of course.

Good video. Nice run. I knew a stock 55 would be able to take it.

Cool just imagine when the new TT's arrive

With all the excitement over the new 335, imagine whats gonna happen when people start getting their hands on a Vishnu or whoever tuned twin-turbo V-10 RS6 and then when bimmer comes out with the tt V-10 M5/M6 and AMG's tt 63 V-8 (software tuning these will definitely produce massive horsepower and torque gains for sure also). All hell is about to break loose.

you really enjoy dreaming don't you
apparently the new v8 for the AMG will be from the 550 engine, which will be turbo charged.

The hype is real!

I finally drove and had a short race with my friend's 335i last night. His car has downpipes, exhaust and Vishnu Procede V2.

From the drivers seat the car feels exactly like a 997 turbo! Torque starts building down low at 2000+rpms followed by a huge surge of power at 3500 or so. It continues to pull hard all the way to 6000rpm before you start to feel a drop in acceleration.

Then I had 2 short runs with it. Would say that the 335 seems as fast as an M5 based on my previous run with one. First run I started in 1st gear and got the jump, pulled away by 3-5 cars lengths easily by 3rd gear. 2nd run I started in 2nd gear gear slighlty out of my power band (2000+rpms). We both floored at the same time and immediately I pulled one car on him before his turbos kicked in and kept him on my ***. From then on I was slowly walking away from him but he kept up pretty well! We shut down at end of 3rd gear and I was only 2 cars ahead.

What an amazingly quick car for just a few simple mods ...

Here's a vid of a 335 with a SSTT (mild tune $600) running 0-145 mph. If you take a look at the clock and note the time from 60-130 mph he hits a 11-12 sec. That is about the same as stock 55. Not to shabby!

v2, with dp, exhaust is a nice set up.. just needs the FMIC to deal with all that added heat.

what was the elevation/altitude ?

these cars will have no issues killing just about anything at a higher altitude.

just imagine a 135 with the same mods.. 200lbs lighter and electronic limited slip..
its will be a FUN car!!!! I don't mind if its a bit ugly.

Please excuse me while I try and think....

M6 (the car the m fanatics place as untouchable with 20k mods hangs with a non broken in Z06 then passes it at silly speeds, 240 was it?

Now 997TT is nearly as fast as z06 or so i am told
And 997tt destroys stock M5 and M6 55kamg
335 v2 hangs with m5, then gets passed at high speeds

So am I the only one finding something strange here?
997TT getting beat by a 390whp car? at low speeds to boot?

Could it be that all the great 997tt runs we have seen have been done with the over boost function engaged?
So a mixture of not been in right gear + no over boost + not really giving it all = the outcome?
Because come on this is a 997TT!!!!!
Next it will be a Z06 , oh wait i think that has allready been mentioned

you're car is pretty heavily modded. Wow, imagine when we start to see these cars with turbo swaps and all?

I think the 6.3 engine would be more expensive for them to twin turbo than the 5.5 but whatever engine AMG come out with, it will definately over power the competition

Juicee, remeber it ran 12.44 when the fastest stock 63 run was 12.72 and the fastest stock 55 was 12.9x. That day, temperatures were hot and DA was around 3100 feet, and there was a bunch of ash, dirt, and dust all over the place. So it is possible to hit very low 12s or even very high 11s if conditions were better

Yes, he is considering getting a FMIC as his car gets heat soaked after 2 runs and starts to pull timing. Elevation here is around 5-10m above sea. 135 will definitely be an interesting one to consider but I would wait and see how well the car handles compared to the 335. This is becos there will not be a huge difference in price between them. and i think I read somewhere that the 135 will not be much lighter than the 335, in fact less than 100lbs IIRC ...

forget the 135,this is the car to look out for.BMW is making a M power(kinda without calling it an M1,since that name is a classic old car)and calling it the BMW TII

lightweight 1 series with 6 piston brakes and carbon fiber all over the place.

Wow.

Looks like ordering the ASP and IC pump was smart of me for my later runs with the V2
