what is this ACTUATOR for?
I frequently have a look at this magnific forum wandering whether to mod or not my 55 and realize how ignorant i am ..
so, have been told that these MODDED ACTUATORS, that stands left and right close to the SC pulley on top, HELP INCREASE BOOST
they are inserted to the cylinders intake ... so they do channel something .. but strangely, in correspondence of the front cilinders only.
What for?
thanks
Marco

those things were said to increase 0.3 bar boost
further they aren't cheap: aske dme about 1500 eur
perhaps there is something true: I found a german tuner claiming to obtain something like a 0,12 rise in boost without changing of crank pulley (that he considered a too hard mod for the engine) .. I thought he could obtain that result by means of ecu remapping ..
After that, I asked a well known american producer of pulleys and he confirmed me that "there are ways to increase boost from a blower with out speeding it up"
these shots taken from another 3d shows clearly that the SLR-like tuning do have those modded actuators

but the russian tuners .. still have oem
