V12-Biturbo
Just got back from Atco with a stack of timeslips all in the 11's.
Best run was an 11.775 @ 118.69 mph (1.710 60' time)
Also ran:
11.801 @ 118.34 (1.716 60' time);
11.805 @ 118.57 (1.713 60' time);
11.806 @ 118.48 (1.712 60' time);
11.808 @ 118.79 (1.720 60' time);
11.817 @ 118.20 (1.716 60' time);
11.824 @ 118.14 (1.719 60' time); and
11.824 @ 118.17 (1.720 60' time)
A bunch more 11.8's (20 runs in the 11.8's). I will post some slips later.
These runs were at various points in the day with various fuel loads. Track was too cold early on, but it warmed up. I hot-lapped to keep it sticky.
According to Ranger's weather station, the temp was 52 - 54 degrees, the DA ranged from neg 200 to neg 300, but the humidity was over 60%. Not too many racers were happy about the weather, even with the negative DA.
I think my car now holds the record for the fastest bone stock E55 on street tires. So that it is perfectly clear - I am running PS2's in 275 width in the rear, so the tire is slightly wider than the 265 standard widths. But I'm pleased.

Thanks again guys.
To respond to some posts - Hammer - I am running on stock 18 inch wheels.
Russ -No power braking at all, but I get on the gas the instant I lift off the brake. In other words, I don't give the car a chance to creep forward and trip the beam. And it is probably at 700 rpm (idle)
Sunny - If you are at Atco, I'll be honored to drive your car. But you are probably running on rubber band thin tires. Not good for a standing start.
Marcus - your 92.78 1/8 trap is higher than I went yesterday. All of my runs were in the 92.2 - 92.5 range. That's a very interesting observation about the 05's. I've never heard that before, and I wonder if there is other data out there to support this.
Juicee - this was my quickest and fastest run. I'd like to do better at Atco in December, but that's a tall order.
Ricker - my dyno is on dragtimes. It pulled 419 rwhp and 455 rwtq. About average for these cars. There was no fan at the dyno, but there was some airflow coming in from the open garage door.
Sam - My engine was built by "P. Pankratz". I can't get my scanner to work, so it will be a few days before I can get the slip up. Then, I'll update my sig.
Steve - knock on wood, the pump is working fine. I was hot-lapping six runs back to back and did not suffer any noticeable heat-induced reduction in speed or traps.

Atco??
Where's Atco located? I'd love to bring my stock 03' up there. It dyno'd at 428 rwhp two weeks ago. I wonder if it would get into the 11's.
BTW- Way to represent us stockers!!!
Edit - I found it, NJ........to far for me. Does anyone run at the Richmond, Va. Dragway?

Enzom,
Don't worry, whenever I go to the track, I always take my big rims off, and put back the stock wheels. I'm actaully getting drags for the stock wheels.....
Lol...I'd rather you drive it and get a good time, rather than me embarassing myself.
So count me in at Atco! Haha...And I def want you to drive my car!

Awsome times...I'm totally jealous. I went to the track Friday here in Vegas with my DR's and cool temps. I thought for sure I would break my best time of 11.98 but the best I could muster was a 12.12 at 114. That's horrible but every car there was running slow. I didn't bother to check the DA but I'm sure it was in the 5,000 ft. range. That's what's so strange about our track, we always have horrible DA readings. With a Stage 5 Renntech I should easily be in the 11's but trying to find a day out here where we're not racing "in the high mountains" is a pretty tall order. Some day I'm going to get my car down out of the clouds to a lower elevation/DA track and see what it's really capable of.

You should ship your car out here for our Spring track rental. It's a shame to not see what that fine machine could do.....
I'll put you up if you don't mind dogs/cats.

First off, Great times...Unreal!
Rudy,
How things going? I was at LVMS the week before and was only able to manage a 12.92 @ 109 so in all fairness your low 12 are still impressive

Enzom, don't mod yet.........
I feel your car will do even better in December..........
I say wait and find out what is the absolute best time you can get in stock form before you start modding......

I am going back and forth on the EuroElites ECU deal. If nothing else, I would be able to demonstrate through track experience in three weeks whether it does improve performance. Timeslips beat the butt-dyno any day of the week. Imagine I run solid 11.7's at 120 mph?

Well, John - you gave me something to shoot for. And to the extent people claimed BS on your time, we now know that it really is possible under the right conditions to run these amazing times.
I will say, though - I still think your time is a time to beat, as I ran my times yesterday on 275's in the rear.

BTW - I am wondering whether drivers lift before they should. I think that too many people believe that the 1/4 mile ends at the display boards. They hit the board and lift. I always keep my foot buried until I see 125 on the speedo. Well after I pass the boards.
Seems silly, but I would not be surprised to find out that something so simple might be the reason why a 116 mph + car is only bringing home 113 mph timeslips.

enzom - John and a couple of other guys on dragtimes.com with '05s have some of the highest trap speeds. I really think something with the '05s makes them fly... I wish I had a good time slip to contribute but unfortunately I don't. All I know is my car did 92.78 in the 1/8th and I couldn't muster anything better than a 1.83 60' with my yokos.

its the day aliens landed in stauggart and decided to take a few AMGs for a test drive!
but if we look at it realistically. Some 03 AMG 55k had more power due to some parts been different (TB, blow off valve had one or didn't have one cant remember).
Other things i noticed are improved pump, oil cooler placement changed, ECU re flash etc. So would not be surprised if there might be something on the 05 or maybe even 06, as not many people with these dates have ran them properly at the track?
just an assumption
As for the monster time ... just sick. You need to dyno so that we can see if there is a consistency with dyno and your time slips just for Curiosities sake.

Interesting theory about the '05s. I ran my '05 earlier this yr at GLD in Chicago and was running 117's and 118's also...however my ET's sucked due to traction. Rolling off the line and getting on it would still spin my tires with ESP either on or off. With ESP on, it trips earlier then when its off. Need an LSD and put car in dyno-mode. Anyone know of any good shops in Chicago to install an LSD?
