Fantasm, MB calls it a 6.3 for nostalgic reasons, it is really a 6.208L

I think the engine in different models is actually different litters, I think it was the same with the 55 - in like the SLK it was like 5L no super charger or some ****... I think that the engine might be 6.3L in the biggest model of car with the highest output - I am not sure, this is my speculation and I remember seeing some of this somewhere - looking for feedback, not people telling me I am wrong, because I very well may be.

C55 AMG, 135i, 911 GT3, GLE43 AMG
The engine in the "63" AMG cars is 6.2L V8 DOHC.
The engine in the "55" AMG cars is a 5.4L V8 SOHC.
The engine in the supercharged "55' AMG cars is a supercharged 5.4L V8 SOHC.
The engine in the "550" non-AMG cars is a 5.5L V8 DOHC.

Here are the "specs" about the 6.2L V8 engine (from the AMG press release when the engine was introduced).

Cylinder arrangement: V8
Cylinder angle: 90 degrees
Valves per cylinder: 4
Displacement: 6208 cc
Bore/stroke: 102.2/94.6 mm
Dist. between cylinders: 109 mm
Compression ratio: 11.3 : 1
Output: 375 kW/510 hp at 6800 rpm
Output per litre: 60.4 kW/82.1 hp
Max. torque: 630 Nm at 5200 rpm
Torque per litre: 101.5 Nm
Maximum engine speed: 7200 rpm
Weight (dry): 199 kg
Power-to-weight ratio: 1.88 kW/kg

I always thought that was kinda weird .... AMG 55 = 5.4 L
