Passenger Airbag?

Mine just turned off by itself... I don't even know how to turn it back on.

Plus, now since its turned off, and I drive without a passenger, the computer still tells me to put on a passenger seatbelt.

Whats happening? How do I turn the airbag back on???

How do you know the passenger airbag is deactivated? I doubt its something that is owner selectable. In some cars if you put a same brand child car seat in the front a sensor turns off the airbag temporarily - saves mashing the kid into the seat back!

There is a message that shows up on the screen saying something like "the passenger airbag is deactivated". I don't know what to do. Also, thee is that symbol near the hazard lights that says "passenger airbag off" and a yellow light is on.

Do you put anything in the seat? Especially, a cell phone? If so, they can trigger the sensor. Obviously, anything UNDER 25lbs would also tell the computer that there is a child and thus the airbag would be deactivated.

Other than that, I'd take it in. Likely a sensor. Check the cellphone thing, though. It catches lots of people.
