Best color combo
What do you think is the best color combo for the E55?
white(w/pano)/black
white(w/pano)/blue
silver/black
black/black
white(w/pano)/black
white(w/pano)/blue
silver/black
black/black

1) White w/pano and black interior (what I have)
2) black and black interior
3) silver with black interior and brushed aluminum after-market wheels (the silver imho is a little too understated, but with some nice rims it looks pretty nice)

I thought I ran across a tectite (sp?) gray with a maroon-ish interior once in my search. I am having a brain fart trying to remember if that was a 55 or not, but that would be my favorite combo.

If you're talking about exterior combinations, I vote white and black. White base car with black rims, trim, spoiler, etc.

Mine is white/panno and I always get positive feedback. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder but (and in no order) they all have different personalities:
Black = Mean and Nasty (period)
Silver = Vintage (there is a particular SL55 with Rims and Glass Paint with hundreds of hours of work to get it to look like it does on this forum I am a fan of!)
White/Panno = way better than most people would think. The dealer said "best combo I have seen" and those who thought "sissy" (it is what it is) when I told them my car is white said "WOW, does that look nice, especially with the black roof".
Tectile Grey = Never Seen an AMG in person in this color - very favorable feedback
Dark Blue = Looks Fun, I saw one with a heavy tint and looked real nice
There are a few colors I would stay away from personally but you decide.

I see black and silver E55's for sale. I have not seen but one white with pano for sale. They want 55k for a 2004. They are crazy . If anyone knows of someone wanting to get rid of this combo tell them to let me know.

1. Silver/Black w/ Pano
2. White/Black w/ Pano
3. Gray/Black w/ Pano
I love silver, since it is so easy to take care of. I can go weeks without washing it and it still looks great even when it rains. I will never own a black car again considering I hate detailing cars. White is nice, except when it rains.

Carbon fiber was part of the 2003 President's Edition. The car came loaded with every option available including Distronic & Navigation which were not released at that time. Also it was fitted with 19" wheels, AMG lit door sills and a $12K Carbon fiber trim. The two center console lid flippers were replaced with burl wood and I made the dealer replace them to spec. It was quite an ordeal AMG wanted them to pay for the entire $12K package. The ash tray lid has the AMG seal in gold under the clear coat. Only 7 President editions were made. There are two stories I have heard as to why they were created. They made them for executives of MBNA the other is that 7 dealerships were awarded them for their sales performance.
