I called his cell a couple of times but it went to voicemail..
He's either doing donuts out in the parking lot or they are having trouble getting the car dyno'd...

Well guys.. Just hung up with Jim...
Looks like we are going to have to wait a bit longer before we get any valid dyno numbers.
He couldn't get a clean pull and the torque pickup wasnt working. For whatever reason, this dyno he is using doesnt interact well with the Merc.
We are trying to locate a proper dyno facility near Salt Lake City, Utah..
Does anyone know a Dynojet facility within 50miles or so of Salt Lake?
Looks like we are going to have to wait a bit longer before we get any valid dyno numbers.

Whats the point of dynoing on 2 different dyno's? Then the comparison is not as valid and some may go as far as saying the comparison cant even be made. You should dyno on the same dyno you did your "pre" cam dyno. Just my 2 cents

Oy, what a night. Still have a headache from all the fumes.
We'll get this figured out and get a good pull. Think this guy is gonna order a new pickup and then we will take another whack at it. If it still sucks, we'll find another dyno and at least see what it is putting out now.
I can honestly say without ANY doubt that this is the strongest my car has ever felt and if I never am able to get a dyno in the God forsaken city, I am 100% pleased with the results. Swear to you, this is the most dramatic that car has felt since I went from stock to K2.
Don't even want to go into the poor souls I "killed the hell out" of on the way home in venting some anger.
I feel like Armstrong and I am stuck on the ladder saying the "One Small Step for Man" line. Maybe someone else will or should take over for me and get a before and after dyno with these heads since I am living in prehistoric times up here.

you better belive I will be at the track this friday or saturday if they are open. I still cant belive we lost HP. same dyno and 30 degree colder now???? I should of gained 10hp off the weather by its self.

This is too much....So you say you lost POWER with VRP Cams ???
May be there is something wrong with you car...Did you actually feel the car faster after you installed those cams ???
May be its you ECU ??? What is your AFRS and Boost levels ??? Did you dyno with same wheels ???

Guys I guarantee you those cams make power.
There were 2 cars dyno'd so far with just the cams added and they both picked up 25 - 30 hp.. There could me more that were dyno'd but I just dont know about it.
BMS had them installed by Sunil on his SL55 and it was dyno'd by Sunil and showed power.
RFlow had them installed with the help of PTE and they dyno'd and picked up 30rwhp.
Neither of these 2 had any ECU remapping done. BMS' car was a Kleemann tune. RFlow was a custom tune.
Whatever the problem, it has to be dyno/airflow related. Do a 1/4mile pass and see what the ET & trap speeds are.

Chris @ C2Design wants to get a baseline with current mods and to see if the Beast is running "rich"...I'll post those graphs.
Victor...Chris just got the I/C upgrade kit yesterday and he says it is pretty sweet. I'm headed there tomorrow to take a look at the cams and the I/C kit (I'll post pics).

We had more than 200 miles in the car and the IATs were fine during the dyno.
At this point, Victor has the dyno sheet for rocket's car and we'll see what we'll do after the 1/4 mile run.

BMS' ET dropped 0.16 seconds and trap speed improved 2.16 MPH with the VRP cams. The runs were done a week apart at Milan Dragway on nearly identical fall Saturdays, November 3 and 10.
