What is included in a Service E+?
Hey guys,
A Service E+ is due in 2100 miles on my E55 and I was curious what this entails. Is it a glorified oil change that the stealer will try to rape me on?
Can this be done at an independent? Can we reset the message ourselves if it is a simple oil change?
Thanks

From a Mercedes Service site:
The maintenance services will be indicated by showing a service type ABCDEFG or H in the multifunction display (approx. one month before the maintenance service is due). Types ABCDEFG and H are classified based on the estimated time needed to perform the maintenance service, ranging from up to approximately one hour (type A) to up to approximately eight hours (type H) plus parts. Or, ~$120 to ~$960.00 labor price only.
The Maintenance System calculates and determines the service items (items 1-20) that need to be performed. Based on these service items, the system then assigns the appropriate service type (type ABCDEFG or H) which appears in the multifunction display.
So, you are estimated to need 5+ hours of labor for this service. You can probably estimate which service is required from your miles and the Maintenance booklet service listing.

I am in need of Service G. Where does that fall on the schedule. My factory warranty just ran out so the extended won't cover.
