Back from Atco...
First off,I want to thank Enzom for inviting me,twas a pleasure meeting you
My hat also goes off to a very friendly member of this forum by the name of Bob(sorry,amidst the insanity I forgot your screen-name
)) who drives a very fast silver E55 from Pa.I would still be stranded on the side of the road if it werent for him(and enzom,too)...We'll just leave it at that,and yes,I am a dumbass
It was a pleasure meeting Mach5 w his *absolutely stuning* CLK63 Black Series.Like Lorenzo said,I think it's great that you run the car down the strip,as well as at Pocono Raceway.Jims 63 is by far THE BEST sounding out of any AMG I've heard in person.I got a chubby when his car was on the back half about to hit the traps at full throttle&shifting@7000rpm!
Ok,so after diggin myself out of 10" of snow@5am and spreading down 100lbs of salt I was able to make it up the driveway by 8am.
First pass of the day was a crappy 12.5@115,instantly roasted the tires...
Next up,12.32@115.37
60'-1.94sec
So,I broke my 12.34 record&was happy w the extra mph....
Then traction control "on",38psi in rear,launced at idel&banged a 12.24@116.6
Followed by a few more 12.23 runs,a few in the 116mph range.....

Gixxer - I am glad that you made it. It was great to meet you as well. Too bad Cylinder Head and Sunny couldn't have been there.
I was behind Digger in the burnout area when he ran his 12.24 run. I gave him a fist pump from inside my car. Exciting stuff for car geeks like us.

And to top it off,the car was shifting from 1st-2nd at 6200-6400 every friggin time.Definitely coulda gone 12.0x if it would rev out..Oh well

I had my best run of 12.006 at 116ish 1.79 60 ft time.
Then i had a left front blowout in between runs. so my day was cut short.. oh well at least i didnt run out of Gas

a modded M5 w drag radials,3.91 gears and flters and I were lined ready to race.Im 100% stock,he's not.I out 60' him and start pulling ahead.Then once in 3rd gear the engine gasped for air&quickly I realised I was outta friggin gas.
Then got stuck on my TO GET gas........

Bob (Multiowner) did some justice at the track today. He did a great job, and it was great to finally meet him. Bob will join me in telling people that if you want to run impressive times, you have to practice, practice and practice some more. His times are very consistent, and that's because he has his technique down.
And in March, we will practice some more.

I cant find the slip when we lined up but remember seeing the 60' flash on the tower.I knew your car was a 12.0&I figured I had a chance after seeing my 60',but alas,half way thru 3rd gear my car just sputtered&you pulled ahead&game over

Enzom&I ran 3 runs back to back against eachother.I know his car is much quicker but what the hell.I was able to get traction(somewhat)and got him out the hole on 2 runs,by the 1/8mi he was gaining on me and even though I got to the traps first he would have pulled me very shortly after.We switched lanes for the 3rd run&I lost the traction advantage&spun madly in the right lane.Your car is the True Beast
The CLK63&I didnt get a chance to run eachother,but I probably would have just cut gas in order to hear his car in front w that sweet exhaust note if we did,lol
