Adam, did you have any luck trying to get some of the M5board members on-board with this?
How about the Porsche guys?
I would think 5 to 7 more people is not too hard.

It looks like it's gonna happen, but at a slightly higher cost than $200 / car, maybe $250

We need someone to post this on m5boards.com and get some BMWs involved

Infineon will be a race day, not TnT. Don't expect a lot of track time unless you are winning.
The Dodge motor still isn't back in so I probably won't be there. January races can produce some great air...
Good luck,
Scott

The air on Saturday will be great on both tracks prob with SAC is the lack of any prep whatsoever, hard to drive 5 hours for ice time? I am down for "bracket racing" although a bit trickier the Benz is mighty consistant. dial would be 12.165@117.74..HMMMMMMMMM
I've had the car at the track twice. Both times with a faulty i.c pump.
Needless to say the times were ****ty, but i was testing out my reaction times (This is where bracket racing is won or lost.)
I'm a pretty consistent driver, i tend to get .030s .040s.. every now and then i'll pull .00s or .01s but most of the time they tend to fall in the other category.
However, with the e55 is a totally different game. How do you guys keep it consistent? sometimes i felt the car took an extra tenth or two everytime i pressed the pedal to get moving? so my reaction time was all over the place. My 60s were consistent, 1.9s high 1.8s, but i simply could not get the reaction time down.
How do you guys do it?
please educate me!
thanks!

I would just ease the car out pick a moderate to easy dial to hit and drive the car exactly the same each time. This is where knowing your car is very important. Hope the rain stops cause I think we could do pyrdy good since the cars afteryou start are point and shoot.

I have two cars I race regularly, a '69 Mach 1 (Sportsman class) and a '70 Challenger (Super Pro). Both are set up for drag racing and both are pretty consistent. However, my most consistent car is my wife's Acura MDX. It runs 16.67 +/- 0.01 all day long and with a deep stage coming off idle can RT in the 0.03 range. This car ET's far more consistently than either of my "race" cars. Just something about this car makes it deadly consistent and not susceptible to weather changes.
On the flip side, the Acura won't carry the front wheels across the 60 ft marker...![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The SL65 times are all over the place. Great when it hooks, but the overwhelming torque and stiff rear suspension keep it from hooking up consistently.

Adam, are we still on for February 10th? I need to know so I can clear up my schedule.
The weather seems like it will be on our side this time around
Now all we need is good track prep, and I'm sure we'll have record-breaking runs..... ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Adam, please give us an update.....
