Another new guy here. I am considering parting with my ridiculous 01 Audi S4 for an E55. I LOVE the way my friend's 06 55 drove and I convinced my father recently to get a '08 E350. Any feedback/opnions would be appreciated. best year? mods? best exhaust? certain parts prone to failure? I'm lucky enough to have a local shop an authorized Kleemann installer but I hear the packages are pricey. I look forward to shredding tires!

You looking to mod an E55 or an E350?

The best upgrade for an E350 is an E55, plus it comes with MB financing.

E55 not a 350.

Very nice!!
I would definitely get the newest build date possible.
Aside from the many cosmetic mods, here is what I suggest:

VRP Pulley
80mm TB
Shorty Headers
Upgraded cooling

Then, you can go from there. You wil likely want an ECU tune by then and perhaps some added support to your drivetrain.

meaning just the crank pulley? Is the 80MM throttle euro-spec deal or from another MB model? Is it the I/C pump that is the problem with heat soak?
