Ok everyone, I have a route map and directions available that I can Email to anyone and everyone that asks. I am calling the restaurant Friday afternoon to give them a head count. If I am off by a few it won't be a problem, but if I am within 1 or 2 it should mean no waiting for the room to be ready. One thing I was thinking about after the map was finished was when we leave Wrigley, we could take Lake Shore down into the city, and finish off by leaving the city on Lower Wacker, and after we get to the post office, the north siders and south siders(and Hoosiers!) could split off on 94 or follow us west siders out to 290. I'll be doing that if you are interested. The rumble of 15 AMGs(and one 911) on Lower Wacker will be awesome! PM me your email address if you want the map and directions sent to you.

I'm not going to make this one guys. I have a 3 1/2 week old son and I just got back from nearly a week in Daytona and I'm heading out to California to pick up my Black Series next Wednesday and then I'l be in Vegas for a week. The little lady told me I need to spend some time with them...she's probably right. Keep me posted on some future dates and count me in on future runs. Be safe, have fun and let us know how it went.

I did not realize there were so many Chi-Townies on this forum. Every time I read a post or thread it seems like they are all from California or Arizona. Now that I know this, we need to definetly try to organize a track day. Autobahn, Gingerman or even Bumpy Blackhawk Farms, Grattan is nice, but a little further. We should also think about renting the drag strip at Route 66 one evening.

I'm not a member, but have several freinds that are, I am waiting for a "Team Space" garage membership. I am a business owner and belong to the Will County Center for Economic Development, as do the owners of the Autobahn, Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway. They lookout for other people and companies that belong, so I can get on whenever I want. Think of it as legal bribes. I should be able to get a handfull of people on without a problem.

I did not realize there were so many Chi-Townies on this forum. Every time I read a post or thread it seems like they are all from California or Arizona. Ok here's the scoop. We had a ///AMG meet there last year, and had called ahead to make sure there would be no problem. I get there, go through the inspections, pay my fees, get in staging, and then were told "you guys in the Benz's are gonna havtu wait!" "We got sum top fuel qualifiers that need to get sum runs, so we gonna let them goheada ya!" We had been in staging for over an hour, then they come back and say "U fellas gonna have to move outta stagin and back to da pits....we'll call ya when we ready forya!" So of course now I'm pissed, we go to get our money back and they give us the run around. Finally they give us some BS vouchers to come back later that year. However, it started snowing like 2 weeks later and the vouchers expired! So F*ck Route 66, they are lucky we didn't pour oil on the track before we left!

They would of had a chance with me if they would of gave us our money back....and some of us waited 3 additional more hours and no runs what a disgrace

We will be meeting at Streets at 10, I have set up right now to leave at 11 and head to J.Alexander's from there. I have planned a stop for fuel (somebody always seems to forget to fill up) on the way, then get to the restaurant at noon.

That is pretty crappy of them, I know the president and GM of the track, We are not real tight, but that whole Will County Economic thing goes a long way, listen to this story. Last summer I decided I wanted to take try to get an infield spot at the NASCAR race in Joliet a few weeks before the race only to find out there is a like a 3 year wait for infield spots. I make a few phone calls and bingo, not only did I get a spot, I got a spot big enough for 2 RV's and it was the best spot in the infield and on top of that paid next to nothing for it. Just let me see if I can talk to them to see what they are going to do for you. They are stand up guys, and car guys, it was probably just the redneck hicks they had working at the track that day holding a grudge because you guys drive MB's. Unless you are totally against it at least let me try. Does anyone remember what the date was?

If you can come out with positive news from Rt.66 I am sure would be willing to listen...I will give them another try if thet can treat us well...as for the date do a search we posted it last year for drag sday at route 66 I believe AMG-Jerry posted it.
