Thanks bud! I am trying to cover everything I can while doing this... Keeping my fingers crossed that it delivers what I am expecting...
Havoc stepped up and wanted this for his own car, so it will be installed and a tune will be done down at the California shop.. I've passed the torch along to Havoc, so you can thank him for being the new pioneer in trying this out.
If it delivers, we'll have short blocks and long blocks on the shelf ready to go for anyone that has tired or blown bottom ends that wants a fresh start.
You can pick & choose your combination of block & heads.
Thanks!!

We have been waiting for our head gaskets and some other small items to arrive so the final assembly has been delayed.. I am heading over a little later today to check on the progress.. it should be ready for crate soon..
I am anxious to get it into Havoc's car and fire it up...

Well boys... We are almost there.. I've had quite a few different projects going on simultaneously and now they are all nearing completion so we will have a few exciting months ahead of us as we wrap all of these up.
The 5.7L is finally done. Everything in this engine is a custom VRP part from the heads right down to the custom head gaskets we had to make for it. Heck, I even had a custom engine brace fabricated out of tubular steel so I could ship these motors back and forth in complete safety.
I have some high hopes for this block.. I keep calling this project the VR750 because I am hoping we can push the performance into the 750hp mark by using this new bottom end with the more aggressive heads.
Just to summarize, here is a list of what went into this engine.
- VRP all-bore 5.7L block with iron sleeves
- VRP Custom forged pistons and custom rings
- VRP balanced and blueprinted block, knife-edged crank, ported oil pump
- VRP Stage3 Ported Race heads (setup for use with bigger intake and exhaust valves)
- VRP custom Ferrea valves
- VRP custom tri-steel head gaskets
- VRP Titanium retainers
- VRP custom cams
There are probably some things I am forgetting to mention right now but that covers most of it.
Here it is in its crate waiting for the freight company to pick it up to send it to Cali.. There is an SL55 patient down there waiting for a heart transplant..

Delays, delays... Engine didn't get picked up.. scheduled for pickup tomorrow morning..
ETA in California: Monday, April 14th.. Then the reconstructive surgery begins.. Hopefully all of the patient's limbs and arteries will be fully functional with this new heart.
Stay tuned for updates on the surgery.

I am really liking these transport guys I am dealing with.. Damn.. They said Monday morning it would arrive... and .... guess what..... IT'S THERE!!!
5.7L arrived at Costa Mesa shop this morning just like they promised me.
Now, it's all up to Vadim and the crew down there to get it bolted into the car...
Wish us luck guys... This is another project that has been in the works since last summer. It's taken a long time, alot of money, and a heck of a lot of patience to get it to this point.. I am hoping we will see some amazing results with this new combo.
I've asked Vadim to take some progress pics so we can watch as the new mechanical heart gets put into Havoc's 55..

Keith... Are you doing jumping jacks yet?

Oh, I'm out of breath!!
Thanks Victor for all you have done on your end. I respect and appreciate the time and effort you put into this project. You are a true professional.
Now it's time for Vadim, George, and Jeremy to do their Magic!!

The compression ratio is the same.
Last I heard it should go something like this, but if I'm wrong I'm sure Vadim will let us know...
The first dyno will be the VR750 Kit which includes: the 5.7L Bottom, Stage 3 Heads w/Bigger Valves and Cams, Crank Pulley, 80mm Throttle body, Phenolic Spacers, CF Airbox and Tubes, Cooling kit, Xtreme Belt Wrap Kit, LongTube Headers, Straight Pipes, and bring it all together with a Custom ECU Dyno Tune.
After that tune, Vadim will then add the twin turbos and tune it to see if we can increase the boost.
Oh, and by this time the Intercoolers should be completed so we will throw them on as well..
