This is completely off topic but I noticed that you have a Qvale Mangusta...I haven't seen one in ages. Is yours an auto or a manual? Got a link to some pics? If memory serves, they delivered about 110 units to the US.

That aside, I would suggest purchasing a new lip as they aren't that expensive and are prone to getting banged up.

i purchased mine in 2001 it's black on black, manual with 11k miles on it. been thinking of selling it as i have parking for 3 cars and now i have 4. just never seem to want to drive it except when we have some very nice weather and i have the top all the way down. i live in Sf and the qvale family is here as well. they manufactured about 270 cars, i've heard that up until the late 70's all Porsches sold in the US were through them as they held the North american distribution rights, they have a few lambo, jaguar/range rover/lotus/Bentley dealerships..no pics on this computer but will be taking some if the rain ever stops to sell the car

Very cool. The car really needed about 450HP but I bet some of those upgrades have been figured out already. I had no idea that there were so many on the road!

one good thing about the engine being a the 4.6 liter cobra v8 is that there are a lot of mods available. it definitely needs a dose of HP and the change to a six speed gear box. vortex and Saleen have supercharger kits that get 420 lbs of torque and over 400 hp. the car is pretty light. was considering that option and would rather get a kart. the car is definitely a head turner.{with the top down}

yea, and the Mods are EXTREMELY cheap compared to what we have to pay to get our E55's tricked out...

absolutely, i paid $51,000 in 2001 and they are selling from 20 to 25k . so i guess i did ok. i would like to see, no actually i don't want to think what my 05 will be worth after 7 years. i have been amused looking at how much horsepower i can get for the dollar on my z06. other than a carbon fiber lip i am done with mods to my e55, well for the time being

Yea, I used to have Saleen's as my toy cars, I know I spent a lot of money on them but compared to the E55, they were cheap... I still lost money in selling them, but I miss them still to this day!

If any of you want a E55 carbon fiber lip, send me an email neal@euroteckmotorsports.com we are having a nice special on them plus free shipping since we are moving next week and want to move as little as possible.

about the ebay knock offs, well, besides then being removed from ebay daily, you never get what you see in those pics. my buddy bought one to see what it looks like. you need to drill the holes your self, buy your own hardware and he installed it and it flew off on the highway and he drove over it!
