Dynamic seats a must?
I am in the market for an E55 and just wondering how you guys feel about the dynamic seats. Are they a must or are they something that one can ealsily live without? Thaanks.

To me... hell, yeah
But when my bro-in-law tried it, he didn't like it.
To each his own, I'd guess... just find one that has, and try it (you could turn it on/off).

I always thought dynamic seats were annoying.
My gf has those on her M5 and whenever its turned on, I always feel weird with the bolster pushing back and forth!

The dynamic seats are one of the favorite options of everyone who has ridden in my car. Necessary? No. But, I like them and so do a lot of other people. I surely wish MB had not discontinued them in the E63.

I agree! Distronic is a pretty rare option, but I LOVE it! Once you learn to trust it, it is fantastic! I really did the dynamic seats too, but that's something I could live without. It's a nifty option, but it's not a huge deal for me.

All that matters is that my wife is happy. In the E, she feels safe and secure, but most of all, she loves the hug of the dynamic seats.

They are so much of a "must" for me that I bought an '06 E55 used rather than a new E63. 2006 was the last year they were served as an option, I think.

Dynanmic Seats are defnitely a lot of fun. I love the support in turns and also how it squeezes you when you stomp on the gas. Yes you can live without them. Probably won't even be a big deal if you've never had them before. However now that I've had a chance to own a car with dynamic seats, I'd definitely add the option if it were available.
