E55 Off Road Pipe w/Burns X Pipe
Here's a couple pics of an off road pipe I built for one of my customers. I used 2.75" stainless tubing, various u-bends, donor 113 down pipe flanges(they are all the same size 112, 112k, 113, 113k), and a beautiful Burns stainless X pipe. I installed the X pipe within a couple inches of the stock crossover location(figured AMG kinda knows what they're doing). I have used Burns X pipes on other projects with great results. The exhaust note is awesome when cracked open. Sound at idle and cruising is quieter that stock. Lost some bottom end power but screams from 4k up. The car has the stock resonator and mufflers, they're a straight through design so I did not touch them. I'm sure there is some weight savings in replacing the rear section though.

Off road I like the X pipe transition. Do you still have the secondary o2 sensors?
Do you have a sign out front "No cats allowed"?

Yes, I installed the secondary O2 sensors(not seen in the picture). Of course the CEL is on, I might install a set of high flow metal cats in the future. Meow Meow
