Did you guys hear the "sonic boom"! Yeah I can hear Allan Lambo now telling people his SLR would stay with this 0-60 LOL!! 763, Gustav brings it to Sweeden an the B7 Alpina out runs it. This is engineering at its finest. Breaking the sound barrier simply amazes me

Bummer, our Salt Flats are do degraded, that you can't do that here.
Spirit of America was Thrusts main competition and it could only hit 338 up here. They gave up on the Salt Flats and now if you wanna jam like Thrust, you go to Black Rock Desert in Nevada.
The Spirit of America vs Thrust war musta be awesome.

I can't believe Juicee63 has never seen the Thrust SSC before. It was all over the news when it happened. Also there are some amazing photos on the web showing the shockwave coming off of Thrust SSC when it is approaching the sound barrier. I used to have one as my wallpaper.

It sure is amazing, great stuff
"The Blackbird had outrun nearly 4,000 missiles, not once taking a scratch from enemy fire. On her final flight, the Blackbird, destined for the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, sped from Los Angeles to Washington in 64 minutes, averaging 2,145 mph and setting four speed records".
