E55 then E63, now back to an E55
Exhaust pipes blacken after 4 days of driving
Had em all cleaned and polished up, gonna have to add this to the regular bi-weekly routine.....

I have found the same thing happening with mine. I thought mine might be running rich but maybe it’s just an unleaded thing. What octane are you using? I generally use 98 Optimax or 100 Shell Racing

The cars run crazy rich from the factory so this is going to happen. One solution is an ECU tune to lean it up a bit ... the side benefit to enleanment of course besides cleaning the tips less is more power

Yes its a daily driver. I usually run 98 Optimax/Shell Helix. The highest octane rating in most garages in Australia is 98 however some garages are currently testing buyer demand for 100 octane. When I find a garage with 100 I fill her up.

I would rather have them run a little rich to be on the safe side. Mine would always get black after 3-4 days cleaning them.
