Does the E55 W211 comes with a spare tire? I picked up my E55 today but there is no spare in the trunk. They told me that I've have run flat tires so there is no spare. Can anyone confirmed that? Please let me know.

Are you running Conti Sports? I am sure they are not run flats but he sidewalls are robust enough to prevent you killing yourself at speed if your tire deflates.

In Oz they don't. A can of goo to reinflate. AND a standard wheel/tyre wont fit in the well.
To my knowledge no MB comes with standard run-flat tyres - thank goodness!!

my 06 doesn't.....I know that because I had to access the battery compartment and it is lying where a spare would have been

I have an OE space saver spare and compressor in a early 2004 build.
It is a hot item as it will fit over the E55s front brakes and most aftermarket BBKs. I never heard of a run flat on an E55. Think that may be BS. Tell them to order the spare. If you need pics PM me

Judging from the pics he posted he didn't buy it from a MB dealer. That would explain the run flat comment. They may not order that for him.

Mine didn't come with one for some reason. My car was an 06. I went the stealer last week and looked ant the E350 and E550 on the show room floor and they didn't have them either.

I looked at the E55 05 on the lot and it did have a space saver in it. I dont understand the logic behind MB on this issue.

I believe the cars that didn't come with the OE spare need to swap the tire well for a later build unit in addition to ordering the wheel/tire/inflator.

Im running on conti tires.... suppose to be run-flat tires. That was they said to me. I didnt buy it from a MB Stealership. Its weird how there is a space for a spare in the trunk under the mat but there isnt a spare.
I have to take it in for them to look at it on Monday because my moon roof is inoperable. It opens on a short burst,....open for like 2 cm then stop. Once it stops, i have to press the botton again for it to open. Once again, it only opens on a short burst. Does anyone know why????????
BTW, the car was built on October 2003.

The earlier E55ks did not have spares. Only a pump. They also did not come with runflats.

The sunroof needs to be "reset."

It took three attempts for the dealer to fix for me.

That was what I figured. I read the manual yesterday and it said that the moon roof needed to be resynchonized.

you have to push it so the back tilts up all the way and hold it for 3 secs then it should be reset thats what my mannual says
