Pull out your popcorn... Car is ready and is going to the dyno..

Hopefully Rocket & Vadim won't have to tag-team the dyno guys and start throwing people out the door to make room for the beast... I don't think I can handle another delay... lol...

I've been working and waiting for almost 2yrs to see a 700hp non-nitrous E55. If it can't be my own on the dyno, I can't think of another car I would rather have take it's place than Jim's beast.

If we see the magic numbers I think we are all going to open a few bottles of champagne..

Wish us all luck!! I am hoping today is D-Day.

+1

Jim's car really deserves these numbers. I'm monitoring the results ever so anxiously and can't focus on anything at work except this thread....

With gears at 2.82, I believe we have just crossed the 700hp threshold gentlemen.

YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!

JakPro's car had a best pull of 542rwhp (3rd gear pull).

Rocket's car 555rwhp (3rd gear pull)

JakPro's dyno today......... 569.9rwhp .. lets call it 570rwhp (4th gear pull) !!!!!!!!!!!! Torque was 606rwtq

Using 18% correction that is 695hp!!

Keep in mind the 2.82 gears take away 12 - 15rwhp so that puts us at about 707hp!!!!!!!!

Also, we did not do anything with the ECU.. we just threw it on the dyno.. if the car was driven a few miles and the LTFT and STFT and other adaptations were relearned, I bet we would of seen a 580rwhp pull!!

LET THE CHAMPAGNE FLOW!!!!

I can't tell you how happy I am for Jim and for all the people that were involved in making this happen.. It's been something I've been chasing around since I've owned my E55..

Ya thoes numbers are more what I expected
are you guys gonna mess with the ecu and squeeze a few more horsies out of her? that is just great congratz to everyone involved.
Jackpro now you can get some sleep. maybe you should ship the beast to my house and fly down here and we will track our cars while its still under 80deg.

From the pit of despair, that led to "the discovery" Jakpro been through it all.
Nice pay off, Congratulations to Jim and the crew at VRP. Pretty work!

Jim's car is not very agressively tuned and it is tuned for HIS altitude not California.. this way when he brings his car home, it will run perfect in it's home environment..

There is more in it if we spend time tweaking but I think Jim's been apart from it long enough..

Jim's car is the first VR700 car.. Serial # 001.. The only thing on Jim's car that is not a VRP part is the crank pulley (he had a 175mm already).

We are not done yet though... We are still pushing forward...

We have another VR700 car that is coming in just behind Jim's which has a few extra "upgrades".. He has the bullet trans + torque converter which is built to hold 1000lb/ft. He also has the stepped long tube headers that are being developed (1 3/4 to 1 7/8 to 3" collector) + full 3" exhaust.. He is running the stock rear end ratio (instead of the 2.82 in Jim's car)... And we have a few more tricks going on this car apart from these upgrades.

I'm hoping to see 740hp out of that combination if the S/C can keep up and push enough air (which we are worried it wont be able to).

Email me (victor@vrptuning.com).. I'll send you a quote on a turnkey VR700.

Next quest...... 1000hp in a 65... 1000hp in a 55... I raised the bar quite high from the previous one. lol.. It took 2yrs but I am happy as heck right now.

The 1000hp 55 will be Havoc's SL55.. 5.7L built motor, heads with bigger valves, more aggressive porting.. bigger headers and exhaust, and 2 turbos!
