Evosport favoritism - discussion
Why is it that Evosport (who no longer owns this site) can add their threads as sticky's and other sponsors can not? Just seems to be favortism here and just something that crossed my mind recently.
Even though VRP doesn't have the cash flow that Evosport has they are doing a hell of a lot more than Evosport has done yet they don't receive the same treatment. Why?
Just a good discussion and Brad can join if he likes, but it certainly doesn't seem fair.

Personally i would love an FAQ section of some sort grouping things together, rather then the ''use the search button''.
There are plenty of threads that discuss and have very good info, but with not so descriptive topics, i know them as i was around when they came out...but god help the new people not knowing or looking for them
just food for thought, you can also group sponsor products!

If sponsors want their offer be made a sticky all they have to do is to request this of the mod of the appropriate forum. I have done this numerous times when approached on a sale. Once the sale is over the sticky aspect will get deleted.

Ill be honest I actually prefer to have Evosports post sticky up top. They did create this board from day one and should they have some sort of tenure, I would say so and since it doesn’t clutter all the threads it doesnt bother me.
I must say this board is a mess, everyone is posting classifieds all over the place for non related items and no moderator cares enough to keep it strictly MB related. It’s a shame what MBWorld has fallen to after all these years.
Also my take regardless of anyone being a sponsor it’s annoying to see these sponsors constantly filling the first page up on every section soliciting their products. I think it’s about time they dig into their pockets deeper and do some real marketing instead of using the forums as their primary source of income and advertising. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. Not every member wants to read the same stuff over and over its just redundant and annoying. Can you imagine if other sponsors get the privilege to post “sticky”, I think its time for the moderators to clean the boards

I wasn't aware Evosport didnt own the forum anymore.

They sold them but they get to still have the management joys as well on some level. That given they are administrators on this side so they have the power to set the stickies up. Other sponsors do not have that power and some may not realize they are permitted to request that be done.
I am not sure about who has a bigger cash flow however. Both basically do the same thing so VPR could actually be fairly equal in size.
I dont disagree that EVOSPORT should not have the power to do that but I also say we dont need every tuner with a sticky since that will just clog up the forums. Tuners should maybe get a forum of their own? I dont know how to solve the issue but having 10 stickies could get annoying when you just want to read a thread.
