It would be a big mistake to put cone type filters on an E63 or E55 for several reasons. One big one is that you would be sucking hot air out of the engine bay!

Ebay now has one that doesn't even have a motor. Its just a free spinning fan that claims airflow past it gives you up to 3 pounds of boost
See yeah

hahah
well if I was to create something out of carbon and enclose the open air filters, wouldnt that help out. The new M5 has a filter like that from Fabspeed or some other company and it looks like it would work with pretty much the same settup in the engine bay
just a thought,

Beyond that, you have been warned!
BTW, I owned a GT3 and the fastest way to decrease the HP was a Fabspeed intake so once again...you have been warned so proceed carefully.

The E63 already has a killer intake, let alone the Airbox has Carbon/Charcoal filters that give the engine extremely clean air to burn. Why would you cheaper that with junk thats sold of ebay? Vadim, Chime in whenever you deem necessary.

God I really need to bring the CL63 to your shop and let you have a field day with it. I wish I could just leave it there but I love driving it way too much and as a result I am racking close to 1K miles a week on it. Its just so damn comfy.
