Question - BMW Battery Trickle Charger

Now that I'm using my 06 C280 for my daily driver I'm leaving my E55 in the garage a lot more. It only comes out on nice days and lately those have been few and far between. When I previously parked my BMW's under similar circumstances I used my BMW trickle charger to keep the batteries up. My question is 1) will the BMW trickle charger work in my E55 and 2) does it need it? I try to take the car out at least once a week or whenever I can for at least 30-60 minutes.

Trickle charger BAD old tech, you have to keep an eye on it, What you need is an On board solid state fully automatic battery maintainer. I use Schumacher's. Be sure to use a surge protector on the 110V side.

The worst thing for any car is low voltage it ruins sensors and circuit boards keep your battery charged up all the time.

That exact schumacher killed 2 bike batteries and a deep cycle on me last year. I switched to a "Battery Tender" and I haven't had a problem since.
