Common knowledge for those who follow special MB's to know of the Porsche connection. Thats why these 500E's are more desirable than a new E500.
Very nice find. I'd love to have it. I tried buying a few of them.

Actually, it's even better than that, the car's final assembly was done by hand at Porsche's Zuffenhausen factory, not the normal MB assembly line.
It's a very special car, the sticker on that was $80k+ back in 1992 dollars, which would be what, $125k+ today? The 500E was much more expensive than the 911s of the era. Every mercedes enthusiast (myself included) creams their pants over this car...it's very special.
But I still think you're getting into a nightmare with this particular one. For that year, you ought to be looking for one with around 50k miles. This one is going to be a total disaster for you, as would be any almost 20yr old car with almost zero mileage on it...
