Is anyone doing this? does it function properly with Ipod integration? how does it work as a bluetooth phone? are there any conflicts that happen? In theory, I would take the phone out of pocket, put it in glove box attached to Ipod hookup, charge it, talk on it via BT and use it for music...

I have a 2007 with the factory iPod integration and my iPhone works perfectly. I can plug the phone into the iPod integration in my glove and it will charge and allow me to navigate the music functions via my steering wheel. If I get a call, my iPhone will pause the music and allow me to answer the call. This is great in comparison to running the iPod and a regular blue tooth phone since the iPod would not pause the music in that case.
The other great perk over my Treo is that my phone book downloads which makes outbound calling much simpler from the headunit.
