Fuel filter recall
Recall 2008020001 MAR08 211 and 219 AMG 2003 – 2006. When exposed to high ambient temperatures in combination with frequent stop and go driving small cracks may develop over time in the fuel filter module assembly due to mechanical stress. Fuel evaporation through these cracks may lead to fuel smell and evaporative emissions standards may be exceeded. Dealers will check the assembly and install an improved fuel filter module assembly if necessary. Approximately 8,011 vehicles involved.
Service Campaign 2008020005 MAR08 CLK63, E63, CLS63 2007 & 2008 Due to increased crankcase pressure the oil dipstick may be pushed out of the guide tube causing rough engine idle. The oil dipstick will be replaced and on certain vehicles, in addition the crankcase ventilation pressure regulator valve will be replaced. The following VINs require dipstick replacement only: WDBTK77G17T071413, WDBUF77X87A968488, WDBUH77X07A970116, WDBTK77G07T071869, WDBUH77XX7A965604, WDDDJ77X37A074470, WDBUF77XX7A961445, WDBUH77XX7A968504, WDDDJ77X77A075041, WDBUF77X97A966975, WDBUH77X17A968570, WDDDJ77X87A075467, WDBUF77XX7A968475, and WDBUH77X17A969119.
