*** STAR Diagnostics available at VRP ***

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We are now able to diagnose your MB/AMG with factory STAR diagnostics. We can do the following:

1. Set fan to come on 10C sooner for better cooling
2. Set car to 'chirp' on lock and un-lock
3. Change spark timing settings
4. Lower the Airmatic and ABC cars (amount of lowering varies from car to car)
5. And of course check and reset trouble codes.

Cost is $110 and $175 for lowering.

Feel free to call or PM with any questions.

What is "2. Set car to 'chirp' on lock and un-lock"?

Can you turn off the annoying key reminder ring?

All 3 locations have STAR.. I have one up here in Canada, and we have one in California and one in Houston.. All 3 have the special developer menu extensions on them.

That is F'in Cool Vadim!
Let's do 1 through 5 to the Havoc's ride. I already have a lowering kit on her so #4 may be out of the question. As long as we can keep the stock ride height when lifted so I can clear obstacles when needed.

Oh, by the way, I owe you some F'in Vodka.

Thanks guys!

Havoc, no problem. I will get you set up once the new motor is in.

Lowering with STAR sets the target settings lower than stock. Depending on a car it is about .5-.75''.

I had a "Brakes Needs Service -- Visit Workshop" message and Vadim found that it was a $10 switch.

Also got the updated VRP tune.

I have the 10C fan, ‘chirp’, and an 86’d seat belt reminder modifications via STAR.
Makes the car that much more pleasant and enjoyable.

Recently had some performance enhancing hardware installed by Vadim and his highly skilled technicians at VRP. Couldn’t be more pleased with their quality of work or professionalism. They are excellent in every regard.

Highly recommended.

It'll be pretty nice to see actually dyno numbers of what each of the octane retard settings do to prove once and for all that the baseline setting is optimal (highest timing with least or no retard).

TIA

Take it as gospel.. Baseline provides the best settings. The rest just pulll timing and the car runs worse. There is enough of a difference that you can tell with a butt-dyno that the car is not running as quick as it should.

I always wear it whilst underway, just not for maneuvering around the garage and driveway.

It’s probably best you pass on the tweak…for safety’s sake.

Vadim,

Is the $110.00 for mods 1 through 5? Interested in 1, 2, 3 and 5. Can you shed some light on 3?

2004 E55 AMG and 2003 C320 4Matic Miss my 993 Turbo above!!
My Personal garage has Star Diagnostics

Anyone in the New England Area who would like to take advantage of the Star Diagnostic Tools can contact my tuner at:

Elite Motors
1-207-885-9009
David Reynolds

David and his mechanics are a great bunch of guys. They have installed all of my mods with no problems whatsoever. These guys are great to deal with and are honest and extremely fair with pricing. You can ask Jakpro about that.....

Anyways, I stopped over to see him this am since he put a new inspection sticker on my C320, and sure enough, he showed me the goods and his alignment lasers set up for our MB's. His shop is a mile from my house on the way to work each morning. How is that for convenience........
