My New Rear

Hey guys just wanted to show the dealer installed 3 piece spoiler and 63 rear diffuser(plastic strip) that was added before winter. I have just been so busy with work. Oh and yes these are just Treo phone pics, so prolly poor quality.

These parts really give the rear a more aggressive look!

Nice! I'm not the biggest fan of the 3-piece spoiler, but I love the diffuser. The strip on the bottom makes the world of difference imo.

But is that painted strip on the bottom a part of the bumper? If I wanted to go for the 63 rear, would I have to replace the entire bumper or just the diffuser?

I guess after looking at the 63 one piece rear spoiler vs. the three piece, the three piece just looked more aggressive. On the install and parts, I did get the 63 rear bumper, diffuser, and all new hardware. This is what the dealer recommended and I went with it....but I have heard that this is not necessary. I would think the diffuser would be the only changed part, but I could be wrong as well. Just glad it it is done.

Those so called "Diffusers" on the 63 rattle like crazy, or the one I tested did..
Did you turn on the car and check the rear to see if it was vibrating?

I didn't know that. Is there any way to get rid of the rattle? I'm also thinking about getting the vorsteiner diffuser.

Has anyone had this one installed?

Hey, where do you guys get your E63 rear diffusers? Is it time for me to contact Stevembenz again? How much does it cost?

TIA

You gotta get it from the dealer. But I'm still not sure as to whether you have to replace the bumper along with it. Because I actually went to a dealership and inspected the diffuser on one of the 63s that was in the lot. And from what I can tell, that strip on the bottom that matches the paint is part of the bumper. If that's the case, then I don't think you can get the same look unless you replace the bumper too...
