Installing Air Mass Meter, 2000 E55
Looks like my 2000 E55 air mass meter/sensor is on its way out for the second time. I suspect the guys that recently detailed under the hood messed it up. First time it was under warranty. Now it's not. I looked under the hood and it looks like it's not too hard to get to. I've also priced new Bosch meters at roughly $200 online. Has anyone replaced this themselves to avoid getting ripped off by shops/dealers? Is it as straight forward as it appears? Do I need any special tools or equipment to do it? Is the Bosch unit the way to go? I know, a lot of questions. Thanks in advance for your replies.

1. Wrong forum.
2. Yes, super simple, do not waste your money paying to get it changed. Once you have the air box off, you'll see how easy it is.

Thanks. That's kind of what I thought. Which forum should I be posting these types of questions?
