I am a definite maybe!
But seriously, I get in from San Diego at 530pm and have to drop one of my colleagues at his hotel. I may have to be hospitable and stop for a beer on the way as he is one of our corporate guys in from Austria. So, let me see how the end of my trip shakes out as I'd love to go out there!

Well, my colleague and I missed our flight out of San Diego (sitting here drinking beer at the airport) so we won't be getting in to Phoenix until 9pm. Needless to say, I'm gonna miss out on this outing.

Great time last night running the cars.
Of course I made all the rookie mistakes, like smoking my tires all the way through 1st gear instead of easing into it, and running 37 psi on the rears. Best I could do was a 12.4 @ 113, RT = .567, 60' = 2.026, 1/8 8.2 @ 89.
Chiromikey smoked me on our two head to head runs.
Need to work on my launches...

Great run man,
What were the temps at the track? Where is Mikey? LOL. Glad to see you made it , watching and learning from Mikey is about the smartest thing to do, :-).
Your 60 ft on street tires is not bad, lower the pressure maybe 10 psi in the back.
Was it crowded?
what was Mikey running? 11.90's?

hey rick it was great meeting you last night...and a good thing i had an attorney with me to get past the tech *****.
karl, no problem...maybe next time.
josh, temps were pretty warm...mid to low 70's all night with a da of 2660'. there was the fewest people i've ever seen at firebird last night (probably because of bike week). if i didn't have a problem getting in and would have stayed all night, i could have easily run over a dozen times. anyways, the best i could manage with the warm temps and higher da was 11.61 @ 119.5mph.

tech ***** were after me for a license issue, not a car issue...long story.
start working jim and maybe you both can come down for a night!!
he finally got a decent launch and managed an 11.7x. still way off of what that car is capable of.

Only if YOU run my car. Or at least teach me that friggin launching technique man. Consistant 1.6's-1.7.
So you just STOMP it Mike???? Good burnout and let it rip from idle speed??
Incredible man.

the e55 is by far the easiest car i've ever run with exception of reaction times because of the ecu lag. other than that, i really have to give credit to the car and the tracks out here. speedworld has always dead hooked and since firebird resurfaced their first few hundred feet last year, it's been even better than speedworld!
so yes, a quick 4-5 second burnout and stomp from idle. i honestly feel guilty for even taking credit for it because with decent tires it's that easy.

You'd be definitely a very good candidate to run Jim's car, and when you're done, you need to run mine as well

Nitto 555's @ 37 psi. I lit them up through all of 1st and into the 2nd gear shift. Tread is still pretty good on them (15k miles), but they sure do not hook up like they used to. I averaged a 26 mph gain in the last 1/8 over my four runs, so the car runs strong once it gets going. My technique just sucks...
After reading the revived thread on the ECU reset, I guess I needed to do that as well.
