SL600 Exhaust: Video
I recall a couple of members in the E55 forum requesting a video of my 600 with the exhaust modification done, well... finally got around to it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TFzmIKVVAM
Hope you guys enjoy the video!
As you can tell I also switched rims from the 60lbs MHT M10s to the 30 lbs Radenergie R5s. Quite the difference...
Will get a video sometime later this week of the car in action down a straight to get a better idea of how it sounds.

Actually it's just an exhaust delete. I liked very much the way the 600 sounded stock, just wanted to get it louder-- I was going to opt for say Eisenmann or something along those lines but thought I'd be a little different then the crowd.

It didn't really cost me anything, I had my trusty employees do it for me actually. If your looking to get it done it shouldn't cost more then... 100, maybe 200 at the most. Easy mod.
It's an exhaust delete, the rear two are essentially chopped off. No check engine lights, car runs great-- I would say it even has a little more pull.

did the same on my buddies 08 S600, just chopped off the muffler and replaced them with piping, finished off with AMG tips from an extra SL55 muffler... Sounds great!! Nice wheels too..

Man I really wanted to delete the mufflers of my 55, I deleted the secondaries and the resonator instead, and now regret it. I should have just deleted the muffler and thats it... I'm still thinking of doing this, but I'm afraid of losing a lot of torque....
Sounds really nice Exodus, do you have any pics of the exhaust? Thats another thing that worries me, if you just replace the muffler with a straight pipe, doesn't it look awkward?

Enjoy your 600... you'll really like what a good ECU can do to it. Kleemann also just released a new suspension program for the airmatic on the 600s, makes them much more 55/65 like.

The owner eventually came back and requested everything be put back on, complaining about the loss of torque and such. I definitely do not recommend it. I think just a resonator delete coupled with a set of K&Ns really sets the car off nicely.
And I still kept the same set up. Essentially, we "dumped" the exhaust old school style. That way I don't have to deal with an awkward look and should I ever need to re-attach the pipes, it's a simple ten minute job. So, everything looks the same.
