as i just start to look into E55's offered for sale at all the usual places (ebay, autotrader, cars, etc.)... i don't find many with any mods. and although i'm not ready to pull the trigger just yet, i'm curious as to why there are SO many W211 E55's for sale and none with any performance mods (except of course the few that show up on this forum now and then).

this Platinum Blue car that was sold from a Maryland enthusiast to Atlanta is exactly what i am looking for! he really set it up nicely and i love the unusual color that he choose... especially with the 19" AMG wheels.

does anyone in Atlanta know if this car is still around? i call 'dibbs' if it ever goes for sale!! i know it's been down the track and all... but i'm sure it has been well cared for.

Did you use to park that 55 @/in Beverly H. parking lot i.e... Plastic surgery row? where the statue is? I've seen that 1 or 1 just like it in that lot?? very unusual color

The guy I sold it to , his girl worked down there. I think at Bijan's? I believe my old 55 is for sale again for 39k somewhere on Van Nuys blvd. It was definately a unique color. I thought my car was Wedgewood blue and slightly different from plat. It was an 03.

I just spoke to Spero yesterday! Not sure if he knows if the guy he sold to still has the car.

It was a very nice car and well cared for. Boy, did he pick the right time to sell! We still laugh about that. He got over 80!! I sold mine (similarily modded) about 6 months later and got 67K. We all know where they've gone from there and what they can be had for now

Spero btw, is enjoying a Z06 these days.

Haven't seen this one. Also hadn't seen a fellow E55 in months of driving around, and then yesterday, encountered both a black one and a flint grey one. They were probably as surprised to see me as I was them.
