Go for the AMG LSD setup that comes on the P30 package. I have it, and it's been working great I've also had Quaife and have been very happy with it in two earlier vehicles. Quaife is a lot cheaper and have a lifetime warranty. Both are great products

If you didn't get it from the factory, then I'd go Quaife anyday. the E63 lockup is at 40%, so it is better than the E55 one but still neither is at the level of a quaife. If you are ordering a car, then I would get the P30 and jam on.

I got a quaife for my E55 but may not get to fit it as I may jump ship ... if this pans out I can offer this to you if it fits a 63...?

It will be in UK end of next week, and by then I should know if I am going ahead with car change.

The E63 one is a "typical" LSD with a 40% lock point. The quaife is unique in that it uses the gears to increase the lockup on a sliding run from 0 - 100.

I don't know much about the controls, since none of my past LSDs have had them. I guess it is for cars that go straight posi-traction so that they can turn it off when not needed. the stress added back to the chassis is huge, because it used to get released as wheel spin.

As for the E55 / E63 quaife, I do not think they use the same model number. You can call quaife and ask, but I don't think so, especially since AMG runs different LSDs as well.
