No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
Tranny reset, new pump , manually select the right gear... (I always use paddles for downshifts and let the ranny take care of upshifts)... lose the extra 750lbs... and next time wont be so bad... but you still may not win.

1) Re-set Transmission Adaptation. If ECU re-set is not working for you, then take it to the dealership and have them manually erase ALL adaptations and re-set all values.

2) Check IC Pump Using Datalogger. Most dealerships will mis-diagnose the IC pump as "perfectly fine" because there are no fault codes, so they'll always try to get out of fixing it. The only way to prove it is to show very high IATs, which would need to be logged by a data logger.

3) Start driving the car as aggressively as you possibly can.

If you gave it gas and the motor felt "dead", then I would look into the IC pump.

When the IC pump went on my Pop's CL55 it would usually turn off the supercharger after abou 3-4 times at WOT.

I've kind of noticed my tranny is a bit of a pig down low as well. It is almost like I turn right at a light and if I don't mash the throttle, it just kind of plugs along in 2nd and I'm wondering "why the f isn't this damn thing downshifting?" The sneaky ECU reset hasn't worked for me yet either. I've been considering getting the Sprint Booster so the response is "right now" instead of having to do the ECU reset, etc.

'12 Mustang 5.0, '89 Supra Turbo, C55,
Nothing to be embarrased about, even if your car is working properly. Classic example that cars are cars, no matter where or what form they take. All you need is $$ to make/buy 'em faster.

I'm impressed to see AMG owners here giving the SRT4 respect. That is very cool!! I love the way the owners on this website respect ALL cars out there.

Sorry you didnt kickdown, it should go down 1-2 gears, that happens when you are caught off guard...
srt4 is not that fast, but fast enough if you have 4 people and dont kickdown

Not sure why you're so sarcastic. But no wonder you're on probation.

Read most posts once again... See post by "gnma". That certainly sums it up... everyone is trying to address why the OP's car didn't downshift, and that SRT-4 could be very well be so modded that it could certainly rape any E55's or M5's on the road.

You should be the one who needs to learn how to read before posting.
