Let me see if I can provide some answers:

1. Head flanges are 3/8'' (10 mm)
2. We use 16 gauge mild steel that will have 2000F HiTemp Ceramic coating. I had a set built the same way on my C32, running 19 psi for over 135,000 miles with out any problems, including 8 hr. marathon at Willow Springs Raceway, on 120F day.
3. We will offer Limited Lifetime Warranty against any defects.
4. We will offer HEM for all MB and AMGs, including C43s.
5. Current design will fit SLK55 as well as W209 - CLK500/55.
6. 63s are on the schedule for prototyping next week.

Thank you everyone for your support and please contact vrus for orders.

Awesome! Can't wait to hear what a car sounds like with these. And since you won't be able to travel to install these...the expected tech time a stealership would require to install these would be nice also.

Thanks!

Vadim, are gains expected to be the same on the 63 engines?

Actually car sounds stock, because all factory cats and mufflers are still on the car.

Book time is 6 hrs. for manifolds swap. A good tech should be able to cover it.

Pretty close. We will know for sure in about a week, 63s are next.

The AMG mufflers do a pretty good job of muffling the sound (LOL) so I really don't see sound gains coming from most of these mods. If you wanted to open up the exhaust, the sound would get deeper with the manifolds, but I wanted the sleeper look and sound.

Would any of the various applications bolt up to a w210 e55 or is the manifold design/spacing totally different?

Two questions...

1.) What is diam of the OEM exhaust downpipe to which the headers connect?

2.) How much do these headers lean out the A/F roughly?

Looks like a really nice piece. Any idea if there is interference of flow from the port closest to the downpipe connection, and the travel of the first clylinder seems to have more time down its pipe before it hits the collector than the other cylinders... will this influence things much? I.e. cylinders slightly unbalanced before it hits the fat log. the OEM unit appears to be move even in this respect, albeit more restricted, but it is evenly so?

I.e could the log not be made longer so the length of first cylinder pipe is more equivalent to the other cyclinders?

Steve, lets see:

1. Stock exhaust pipe before the cat is 55 mm.

2. I recommend them for a modified car with software tuned to match.

3. There is not enougn of pipe length difference to unbalance the the cylinders. On a forced induction car, pressure on the intake dramatically dampens cyilnder varions due to pipe length.

Thanks,

Headers are in production this week.. For all of you that have requested to be put on the list, please visit our website and order online.

Orders will be processed in the order they come in. This is the easiest way for us to keep track of everything..

Cool...

Re #1 above is this the pipe size or the minimum internal diameter of the downpipe connector?

You guys are killing me ... I was going to stop modding!!

I need to check with the Wetterauer guys if their tune needs to be modified for the headers...

It is on outside.

I would recommend retuning to take maximum advantage of airflow offered.

so a car with headers needs a tune?
or are we talking pulley and headers?

Can't speak for Vadim, but I would think that a car with headers could use a tune. IF you already have a tune and breathing mods then maybe just a tweak. But, I think the headers will drop the psi, so the ECU needs to compensate.

It should so that you can acquire full potential other wise the headers will just cool down temperature and achieve yields but not with full potential.

Where is Grumpy666 when you need him?

This is an intersting issue, so the motor benefits by better exhaust flow as back pressure is less, but this in turn may reduce boost...? Lower boost will drop off on power.

But seems bottom line is motor makes more power with less boost (if in fact boost does drop), so its more efficient all round which is not a bad thing methinks.

That is exactly the case, and why the 80mm comes in so handy. Yes, psi drops, but power increases, since the AIRFLOW does. More efficient airways reduce pressure and flow more air. It is such a sweet compliment to the huge pulley.
