Dyno with AA ECU

Dyno with AA ECU
I ended up going with the Active ECU that rflow had on his car. Here is the dyno. It looks like the tune needs to be tweaked a little but tell me what you think.

i'm confused.
stock runs weren't started until 4k rpms or later so tq readings are probably low and pulley runs show a loss of 20hp? so pulley, ecu, and heat exchanger only netted 10hp and who knows how much tq???
edit* actually we don't know what rpms the stock runs were started at...i just realized it's a different graph.

basically...
ECU,pulley and HE.
10 RWHP from stock and 70RWTQ from stock (PEAK NUMBERS)
across the RPM band is probably the most benefit.

just looking at the dyno's..
its probably best you don't rev past 5k on your RPM.
After 5k.. it starts making less power. Good piece of info to know.
You can call it short shifting?

yes ... the power drops and the A/F goes crazy rich. Those are the symptoms ... look at a properly tuned graph in any of the VRP threads, power continues to increase after 5200 or at least is flat all the way out to 6200ish usually whereas yours takes a nose dive ...

Even a stock car doesn't look like that, power increases almost all the way to redline. So stock tuning isn't safe? I'm sure they mean well but I think they need to be educated on this ...

Well I spoke with the guy that tuned my car at Active and he said he took the boost/load limiting software off. What I noticed was the day and day after I got the tune the car was running really good and you could feel the increased boost but after that it felt like it wasnt boosting as hard again. Anyone have any ideas of what might be going on? I know the software didnt get erased because on the dyno the speed limited was not there.

bad pump turning off blower?

The blower is defently not turning off I know what that feels like. I have the johnson pump on there but maybe its going bad. Ill have my mechanic look into that tomorrow. Anyone have any ideas of why the car wouldnt be boosting what it should?

It's almost like it is the nature of the tune, like it was not designed to be used with a pulley or the tuner was not that familiar with these cars. Seems like you should be in the 35-40 rwhp gain with tune and pulley. But then again, what do I know?

I am learning more and more how powerful the tunes can be on these cars. Not exactly to unlock magical HP, but to hurt the potential for the car making hp that it rightly has inside.
Really hard to judge the tune from a dyno. Would need timing graphs etc to really see what is happening Hamann.
Wish it was easier to try different tunes. Would be REALLY cool to pop on a VRP or Kleemann and see if the car instantly perked up.
Keep us posted.

just looks too rich at the top end..... can AA tune you car on the dyno? renntech was able to adjust my car while on the dyno and fine tune things, here are the latest graphs
pulley, ecu, heat exchanger
pulley, ecu, heat exchanger + headers

AA isnt gonna help me out any further. I spoke to barry the tuner there and he insists this is how the tune is supposed to be.
