thanks for sharing i hope they slap some turbos on this v8, because i heard from another board the new M5 will be v10 turbo similiar to the new Audi RS6. I really like the front end & overall style of the new E.

like wise.....I was hoping for a TT, but it looks like the "63" is here to stay...at least for a while...who's to say they can't use a destroked version of this engine for the TT?

I think it looks good from the front. The concern should be about the rear. It didn't look so great the last time a spy picture was posted.

just heard from a friend they are going to replace the 63 with a 5ltr TT and the 65 with a 5.5ltr TT i maybe wrong but he normally knows his stuff.

If they do replace the 6.3, it won't be for a while......according to the two mags.

These are the latest spy shots, from Germany, which reveal the 2009 Mercedes E63 AMG in close detail. The new super-saloon from Mercedes will have a 6.2-litre V8 and around 550bhp.

The new E63 could be the company’s last big super saloon, due to new emission laws AMG will have to resort to smaller turbocharged engines, diesel motors and even hybrid technology.

"According to a new report, AMG will replace its still-new 6.2L V8 with a brand new 5.0L V8 twin-turbo. There are several reasons behind the decision: the new 6.2L has horrendous fuel consumption at full throttle and it lacks the low-end grunt of the previous supercharged 5.5L V8.

There will be several versions of the new force-fed 5.0L mill, a base version with 570hp and 665lb-ft of torque to replace the 6.2L V8"
