Your take on the PO-PO is a bit misguided. No one hates a bad cop more than I do, and I have done my share of hidden camera work to assure the very ocassional miscreant is invited seek other work. That said, the wide universe of officers display professionalism and bravery that should receive our highest respect.

It is not the police setting up DUI roadblocks and red light cameras. It is your elected officials that are doing that. They have turned protection of the community into a collection agency. Prosecuters do less and less each day, while screaming how burdened they are.

People wondering why California is broke, should consider what the average CHP officer is paid:

Annual Salary $74,524.00

8-1/2 Hour Day Pay (6.25 % of base pay) $4,657.00

PPP Pay ($130.00/mo.) $1,560.00

Pre- and Post- Shift Work Activites Pay (3.5 % of base pay) $2,608.00

In additional to this there are other incentives like speaking Spanish, manning a dog, free protection equipment, 3 vacation and one sick leave day a month, and a uniform with cleaning allowance.

Add pension and health bennies, these guys cost $ 150,000 per year. Worth every cent too. Now if we can get the prosecuters to put money thieves in jail, and do an honest days work, we could use both hands on the wheel instead of one on the wheel, and the other on our wallet.

Oh, they should let the pimps, gamblers, and pot smokers out of jail to make room for thieves and Illinois governors.

Why is there no snow on the ground and the seller is supposed to be in Maine? Something is not right here..

He's saying that the white spots on the wheels are from soap?? hahaa I'd love to see soap and water handle 17F.. This has scam written all over it.

 

It is almost assuredly the scammer especially since he will not allow you to see the wheels in person. Find out how he is going to ship..bet it is DHL.

Ask for the serial numbers or pictures of the serial numbers off the wheels. Would be interesting to see that reply.

 

That would definitely be a clue considering that DHL closed shop AFAIK; at least it was all over the news last year.

 

No doubt a scam, but I would like to know if it's the same guy. I just texted the original owner of the E63 wheels from my car, which is also the same guy that owned the pictures in the original scam.

Just took a look at the pics on that listing and they are not my wheels or pictures. Similar background with the bricks and green paint, but they are not mine.

He still may be a scammer, but I'm glad to say my OEM wheels and pics are not involved in this one!

I think they are stopping all ground services sometime this month...but still doing international air packages.

However, he could pull the same scam with Fedex or UPS most likely. Not sure if UPS or Fedex does a better job of updating their tracking info when he ships the empty one pound packages to incorrect addresses.

 

Yeah he could, I reported this listing to Ebay last night. I also asked the seller for the serials off of the rims as well.

Question to him:

I am interested in the rims, could you send me the serial numbers off the rims?

Yeah, he sent me a reply yesterday on my first question regarding the authenticity of the rims:

"i took
these pictures the same day i uploaded them on ebay"

I will post back his reply on the serials.

 

You could always ask him to email you the original pictures off his camera...that should have the date and camera type on them....but I am sure they don't exist either.

I didn't like the rule change whereby sellers can not leave bad feedback to sellers (when it is warranted). But in cases like this, anyone could bid up his auctions and then stiff him. Nothing he can do.
