1) The background is different and not the same as the scammer pics in this thread
2) He sold another paid of wheels to another ebay member - both him and the buyer of those wheels are good standing ebay members with positive feedback
3) he is selling other items related

I guess we will all see tomorrow if I got ripped of or not. I do admit I was nervous to send payment from the start but I did my reserach and figured it was legit....

Yes, there are ways to get tracking #s. They go online and put in info to print shipping labels. Then they claim those and pass them one. Buyers then wonder when they receive communication to wait while the seller attempts to straighten out the mess.

It says "picked up" under the tracking numbers I posted. CAn you forge a status of "picked up"?

Just called fedex. You can not forge a "picked up" status. The items were actually picked up. Lets see what happens tomorrow...I think I just got a really good deal guys and this guy is legit. I will let him know not to use the green background as it associated with a prior fraud listing if and when I get the wheels!

Thanks htn! I bid on the wheels after doing my research and seeing you left him positive feedback on the wheels you got. Hopeing my wheels show up tomorrow as the tracking numbers say they will.

Got the wheels and they are perfect as described. No fraud here. All smiles. What a deal I got!! I will post pics when I was the car with the new wheels.

Granted the seller misadvertised the cost of the wheels, everything else was accurate.

This was a good ending. Glad this worked out, and that even I was wrong. These days scammers are out like vultures, glad he was not one.

Very true. I actually told the seller NOT to use the green background if possible since there was fraud associated with it. Now I need to get rid of my 19in brabus wheels on ebay.

I asked about getting the serials, he refused to send pics stating they are in the "boxes" to be shipped and he cannot open the box. He guaranteed that they are OEM. Oh goodness.
