on my screen i see button for CDC, but i don't see CD changer in glovebox or trunk...
is it possible i don't have cd changer installed but have CDC menu on the screen?

funny stuff. I've shown two of my friends with benz's where their six disc is. One guy had the car for 3 months and was complaining about it not having a 6 disc for the money he spent. He actually slapped himself in the forehead when I pushed the button. The other guy had only had the car for 3 days, so he just laughed. I wonder how many people are out there that never knew they had a changer...

I knew about the changer when I first bought my car, but thought that the single slot cd was just a blank. (assumed that the changer replaced it)

+1, I had to call my salesman to find out where it was located. I checked the glove compartment and then the trunk so I called him up and he said it would cost me another $1000 he then says "just kidding" look for the chrome button and yada yada yada.......and once I found it

ok, now i found CDC, i STFF'ed and noticed that only 05+ CDC will play MP3s... is this correct?

On my 2008 you PUSH IN that Silver Button that says "CDC" on it that is to the left in your Glove Box and a 6 Disc Changer should drop down from the top of the Glove Box. ON my 2007 E550 CD Changer is built into dash which through me off. I thought I might not have one until I happened up the Silver Button! On my E550 you open it by pushing Silver Bar below Hazard Triangle as others have mentioned.(Don'd feel bad. When I saw it was on my vehicle I just started looking knowing it was there. I did not have manual with me at the time

MJ50 you must have been a newbie nine years ago, now I'd guess you can reassemble the CDC in the dark with gloves on LOL.

Did yo look to see if there is a Slot above the radio to put a CD in? Do you have two choices for CD? CDP or CDC? One is CDPlayer and One is CDChanger (multiple CD's)

I am pretty sure I would never have known there was a cd changer without this thread. I have only just got the car...

hi. I have a slot near radio for CDs. I also have the choice of CD or CDC. It always says no CD. But it won't take in the CD in the slot when I try to insert.

This might sound silly but find the "EJECT" button for the in dash CD you cannot get on ein and make sure there is not one already in there. I am sure there isn't but you never know. Also on your command console press the button CD button next to where it says CD. Do you have a Chrome Button in your glove box that says CDC or CD? If so press that and a changer should drop from teh top of the inside glove box. I had not known I had a changer in there until I pressed it for giggles and grins one day lol

hi. Think it's sorted. It's a single CD player. Forced a CD in as was pretty sure there wasn't one in there. Then took out and put back in the fuse and it has loaded the CD. Pretty sure now there isn't a CD changes even though there is the option of CD and cdc buttons. Thanks for everyone's help.
