belt wrap kit feedback???

my idler pulley is starting to give out so i'm finally going to install the vrp wrap kit that's been on my shelf for a while now.

...so for those of you who have installed one, do you have any info on hp, afr's, boost, or any other input before i install? also, does anyone have the installation instructions that they could post or email me?

I know you are a heavily modded guy like me Mikey, if you have the little reservoir for coolant up top (mine came with the EVOsport kit) that has to be relocated.

If you still have the res in the trunk, nevermind.

Shooting you over instructions on your email Mikey.

Don't have any performance numbers for ya on it.

Why the heck did you put in such a big can? My can is tucked in by the firewall, easy to get to and empty. Any option of changing the can and it's location?

Mike...I didnt have any probs when I installed mine with ASP pulleys...

One porbs I had was TOP pulleys makking noise (then bearing had to get replaced)...but after I replaced the bearing it the noise didnt disappear but the bearing was pretty bad...make sure you install all the spacers with the kit...

I dont know if worked or no...honestly didnt feel any diff...only my belt would last...and didnt get ribs burned...

I think Victor has all detailed instructions, ask him he has sent them to me bofore...

I do have a pretty loud screaming from one of the pully bearings. My mechanics says it is the the right pulley as you face the car just under the S/C clutch. They tried cleaning it but that didn't help. I contacted Victor, still waiting for some help.

Make sure you ask Victor to have those bearings sent to you ASAP...so once you find out which one is bad you can replace it...

May be its even you stock pulleys...

Do they make noise allo the time or when they are cold ???

Put some oil into the bearings on diff pulley to see if the noise goes away ...

Noise is all the time. I have oiles the heck out of all the bearings. It helped but did not eliminate the noise. I emailed Victor. He asked me to clean the bearings. I emailed back saying I had but haven't heard back yet.

For you guys that just have noise when cold, are you concerned that sooner or later the bearing will always make noise and then fail?

I wish I could help out further guys.. I just dont have any spare parts.. they are all with Finny in Australia.. He's been hard to reach lately.. I am sure he is burried with his new business back home.

I'll see if I can get some spare parts sent over here that way we can address the issues..

Just PLEASE be careful about how much tension/preload you are putting on the aux tensioner.. if you load it up too much, it will put alot of stress on the bearings and cause them to wear prematurely.

The belt should be snug but not so tight that it has no movement.
