Another extended warranty thread....
Ok guys.. Ive searched. There are a million posts regarding extended warranty options and pricing.. But not to many that show actual results of the warranty. (i.e., if a claim was covered, if there was any residual charge, etc).
I currently have a 2005 E55 with very low mileage (14k). But the in-service date is 9/20/04, so 9/20/08 Im out of warranty.. Im looking at the following options
Chrysler Service Contracts
AAA Warranty
Auto Warranty Broker -Mercury
My biggest concerns are.. Labor Rate, AND claims handling.. Any input from someone who has actually had a claim with any of these carriers?
thanks

I've had a couple of claims on the Chrysler warranty and they went very well.
The local MB dealer loves to use them because there's no dealer hassle.
Had the same experience with Mercury on a 996TT, no problems and the shop was pleased.

DFW, thanks.. They had no problem paying MB labor rates? My 2 biggest concerns are..
Getting the full labor rate paid
No hassle claims service. If its a covered repair, I want to be able to take the car in. No have to worry about approvals, etc??
They are my first choice at this point.. Ive used service contracts on my Dodge Viper and all went well. BUT, that was a "dodge" dealer. So they worked directly with them. Wasnt sure if a "Mercedes" dealer would change things or not..

how much were you quoted?
I'm looking at buying a 2005 E55 w/45K miles on it so I want an extended warranty. Haven't shopped around yet but wondering what a warranty goes for and how long will they cover you for? Are AMG extras like IC pump and supercharger covered? - Thanks!

I'm in a similar boat as the above poster. If I recall you have be currently under the factory warranty to purchase the Chrysler Service Contracts?
