Strap wrench should work just fine, or if you desire MB special tool part #103-589-02-09-00 can be had at your local dealer.

The inside of the MB special tool oil filter wrench measures 74mm. If that is what you are looking for.

2.5" =63.5MM,I don't think that's it. I know you can buy it @ the stealership. But i have another source.
