Quick question? ECU Octane setting for high altitude
I know this has been thrown around a million times. Changing the ECU Octane setting in Star does nothing, but do you guys think it would have any effect on me with my being 4300ft in elevation. Most DA's run 5500-6000ft.
Would retarding timing do anything for a higher elevation guys.
I know it does nothing and sometimes hurt performance for guys at lower elev.
Just had the idea while messing with Star this am.
Timing have any effect help/hurt at higher elev, or is it more of a fuel mixture issue being the biggest problem up here.
Thought I would kick it around with the experts.
