Quick question? ECU Octane setting for high altitude

I know this has been thrown around a million times. Changing the ECU Octane setting in Star does nothing, but do you guys think it would have any effect on me with my being 4300ft in elevation. Most DA's run 5500-6000ft.

Would retarding timing do anything for a higher elevation guys.

I know it does nothing and sometimes hurt performance for guys at lower elev.

Just had the idea while messing with Star this am.

Timing have any effect help/hurt at higher elev, or is it more of a fuel mixture issue being the biggest problem up here.

Thought I would kick it around with the experts.

Only solution for U is Sears Point (Infineon). Or Famoso in DEC. You will never defeat the Atmosphere. You could add huge turbo's or jet fuel?

Jackpro at higher altitude you can run more timing per octane level before you have detonation. There is less oxygen in the air, therefore less oxygen going into the engine.

This will add a little bit of power. So will tuning your nos jets at higher altitude .
