Audi RS4 - NAV/CD changer question

On RS4 w IPOD hookup (no 6 disc changer) and NAV - will the DVD slot of the NAV play regular cd's or better yet MP3 cd's??

Or can someone explain to me about SD cards - I really know nothing about them??

Thanks in advance.....

I did not know they offered an Ipod hook-up option on the RS4. If you have the NAV option in your car it automatically comes with a 6 disc changer in the glove-box and the DVD player is under the Nav screen with the two SD slots.

SD cards are for information storage. You can download music/mp3 on to them (most computers have a slot) and then feed them into your car for playback.

And yes, the DVD disc slot will play regular CDs. I've used it once or twice on my RNS-E to try some CDs.

not sure on the DVD slot cuz i usually just leave my nav dvd on it.

SD are really really nice.
you save all your mp3 on it. and just stick it in thats all.
you can have folder and you will able to see all folder on the screen and navagate through them to which subfolder or mp3s that you want to listen.

why our E doesn't have these nice feature?? how hard it is to add it??

Yeah, you would have to take out the nav disc temporarily when you want to play music cds.
